                      Meet the Neonatalogists


                      Rene ArcellanaRene Arcellana, M.D.
                      Dr. Arcellana received his undergraduate degree and medical school training at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. His general pediatric training was completed at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. He completed his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Louisville.

                      Daniel BiehlDaniel Biehl, M.D.
                      Dr. Biehl graduated from Michigan Tech University in Houghton, MI, and Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He completed his residency in general pediatrics at Michigan State University and his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the University of Louisville. Dr. Biehl's fellowship research focused on clinical applications of ECMO. He applied this experience while in the Air Force as director of ECMO for Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

                      James CameronJames Cameron, M.D.
                      Dr. Cameron graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, and a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

                      Chris KimChris Kim, M.D.
                      Dr. Kim graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, South Korea. He completed a pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee and a neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Louisville.

                      Janet LeezerJanet Leezer, M.D.
                      Dr. Leezer received her undergraduate degree, residency and fellowship training from the University of Louisville. After completing her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine, she served as clinical faculty at the University of Louisville.

                      Stephan PeppleStephan Pepple, M.D.
                      Dr. Pepple received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Dutch Caribbean. He completed his pediatric residency at Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, where he was the recipient of the Dr. William Bartlett Outstanding Senior Pediatric Resident Award, and his neonatal-perinatal fellowship at the University of Louisville.

                      Neonatal Nurse Practitioners

                      Amanda Bloomfield, NNP-BC Amanda Bloomfield, NNP-BC
                      Amanda Bloomfield, NNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Bloomfield graduated with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor's degree in nursing before completing a master's degree, neonatal nurse practitioner, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, she worked as a certified neonatal registered nurse at Lutheran Hospital. Bloomfield's commitment to community outreach has been highlighted by a medical missions trip to Addis Ethiopia as well as her involvement in the ministry "Rock A Bye," the Fort Wayne Foster Parent Association and The March of Dimes.

                      DevoreWendy Noel Devore, NNP-BC
                      Noel Devore, NNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Devore earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky. She received her master's degree in nursing and a post-master’s neonatal nurse practitioner certificate from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Devore worked as a registered nurse in multiple roles and most recently as registered nurse in a level IV NICU. She is affiliated with the National Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners and the National Association of Neonatal Nurses.

                      FelgerAlexis Felger, NNP
                      Alexis Felger, NNP, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Felger earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University. While at the University of Indianapolis, she completed her master’s degree in the neonatal nurse practitioner program.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Felger worked as a NICU nurse for eight years and held the nurse lead position for four years.

                      Sarah Longaker, NNP
                      Sarah Longaker, NNP, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Longaker earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She received a master's degree in nursing and a post-master’s neonatal nurse practitioner certificate from the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Longaker gained experience working in level III and level IV neonatal intensive care units and as a traveling registered nurse.

                      Emily Mastelou-Page, NNP
                      Emily Mastelou-Page, NNP, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Mastelou-Page graduated with her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Purdue University in Fort Wayne before completing a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Indianapolis neonatal nurse practitioner program.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Mastelou-Page worked in a level III neonatal intensive care unit caring for critically ill newborns, including those requiring conventional ventilation, high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide.

                      Chimi Nusbaum, NNP-BC Chimi Nusbaum, NNP-BC
                      Chimi Nusbaum, NNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Nusbaum earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Goshen College in Indiana before completing a master's degree, nursing for neonatal nurse practitioner, from the University of New York at Stony Brook.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Nusbaum served as a neonatal nurse practitioner at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana, where she was responsible for assisting critical care infants.

                      Nusbaum is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Nu Omicron-at-Large) and the National Academy of Neonatal Nursing.

                      Gregory Ridenour, NNP-BC Gregory Ridenour, NNP-BC
                      Gregory Ridenour, NNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where he provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Ridenour earned his associate degree in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College - Fort Wayne before receiving a bachelor's degree in nursing from Purdue University Northwest in Hammond. While at the University of Indianapolis, he completed his master's degree in the neonatal nurse practitioner program.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Ridenour worked at various level III neonatal intensive care units around northeastern Indiana, as well as Nationwide Children's Hospital at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

                      Regina Rogers, NNP-BC Regina Rogers, NNP-BC
                      Regina Rogers, NNP-BC, is a nurse practitioner in the neonatal intensive care unit, where she provides care for premature and ill newborns.

                      Rogers graduated magna cum laude with her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, before completing a master's degree, neonatal nurse practitioner, from Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis.

                      Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Rogers served as a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner for both Northern Indiana Neonatal Associates in Fort Wayne and Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend.
