Grilled Peaches

Ingredients:

  • 8 firm fresh peaches (one peach per person)
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) honey
  • 1/3 c (80 ml) balsamic vinegar
  • Fat-free cooking spray
  • Fat-free whipped topping

Halve eight fresh firm peaches (not peeled), remove pits. Place halved peaches in a heavy duty zip-top plastic bag.

Combine honey and balsamic vinegar. Pour marinade over the peaches. Turn bag until peaches are all covered with the marinade. Allow to stand for 30 minutes to one hour. Spray grill with cooking spray and place peaches cut-side down on hot grill for 10 minutes. Turn and spoon the remaining marinade over the peaches. Leave on grill an additional 10 minutes (peaches should be firm, not too soft). Remove from grill and serve with fat-free whipped topping.

Yield: Apprx. 8 servings; 153 calories, (640 kilojoules) 0 g fat; 36 g carbs per serving.
