Savannah Trifle
Ingredients
1 pkg baby spinach, washed and drained
1 pint (480 ml) strawberries, washed and drained
1/2 c. (120 ml) honey roasted almonds red or sweet onions, sliced
Low-fat or fat-free wine vinaigrette dressing, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Mix spinach and strawberries in a bowl. Add sliced onions. Toss salad and sprinkle with honey roasted almonds. Serve salad dressing “on the side.”
Yield: Apprx. 4-6 servings; 85 calories (350 kilojoules); 5 g fat; 8 g carbs per serving.
Serving size = 1 cup (240 ml)
